Facebook Privacy TweaksDate: 23 Aug 2011 Privacy has proved to be a dirty word for Facebook and the many hundreds of thousands of users who have expressed their annoyance at how their fav social networking site has dealt with them. Today Facebook unveiled a number of tweaks and improvements to user privacy options - read their blog post on it here. A brief overview of some of the new options are: - Allowing users to choose whether they wish to be tagged in a photo - Allowing users to change settings on each item on their wall - Allowing users to block or remove a photo tag - Allowing users to see how their profile looks to others (now just above the users news feed) It has been suggested that these options have been added to allow for sanctioned under-13 access on Facebook, but Facebook's product VP Chris Cox denies this, saying "This change is really just about the people that are on Facebook today and the new users who just joined today and making it easier for them." |
