“Twitter is not for Teens”, Morgan Stanley told by 15 year old

July 13th, 2009 by admin

Dear Mr Investment Banker
This is how my school-going mates and I use Twitter – not.

  1. We sign up for a Twitter account
  2. We “follow” (aka connect with) our real-life friends
  3. But we don’t really have all that many friends :(
  4. So when we “Tweet” or update our Twitter profile, nobody reads what we’re saying
  5. More importantly, it costs us mobile phone credit to update Twitter via text msg
  6. We’d prefer to text our mates directly
  7. So we don’t Twitter as much as adults on monthly phone contracts who can afford to
  8. If advertisers want to reach us, they should do it via games consoles (eg Wii) & Cinemas like the Savoy
