Google+ Open for Business

November 8th, 2011 by Lynsey

At last, Google have opened up their social networking platform Google+ to businesses.

The long awaited move to allow businesses to have their own branded page on Google+ was announced on their blog yesterday.

When Google+ first opened up for business back in the Summer, users were urged not to create company pages until the option was made available later this year. Online brands like Mashable.com had their pages taken down in fact.

Having a business application was an essential part of being taken seriously as a viable alternative to Facebook, and now we have it.

Google have launched with a number of partners (check out the Muppets page!) but you can look into creating your own business page here. We found it a bit confusing to be honest, but have a look and see what you think?
